Internship Information

We employ two house-vets or 'interns' who usually spend 12 months based primarily at the clinic assisting with surgery, anaesthesia, in-patient care and diagnostic imaging as well as gaining exposure to medical, lameness and stud work.

Throughout the 12 months we would also integrate some basic ambulatory work into their work-day to help prepare for life after an internship and gain important first-opinion skills.

The rota is a 1 in 2 hospital only on-call alongside assistants, nurses and a surgeon.

Recruitment for the internship occurs in December each year via BEVA with usually one position commencing in July and a second position commencing in September.
